Baseball Recap: Desert Mountain Takes a Loss

Desert Mountain was the 12-11 winner over Desert Vista when they last played one another back in March of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Desert Mountain Wolves took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Desert Vista Thunder on Thursday.

Desert Mountain got a good showing from Davis Anderson, who tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits.

At the plate, Jonny Mszanoski made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Desert Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Desert Vista, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Desert Mountain didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-3 defeat against Canyon del Oro on the 28th. As for Desert Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-5 victory against Arizona College Prep on the 28th.
