The Sequatchie County Indians sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-42 win over the Bledsoe County Warriors on Friday thanks in part to McKendrick, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 18 points and four steals. Sequatchie County's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-11. As for Bledsoe County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.
Sequatchie County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-37 loss against Cumberland County on the 1st. As for Bledsoe County, they will challenge Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bledsoe County has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
