Basketball Recap: Sequatchie County's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak at Home

Bledsoe County came into Friday's game looking for another win against Sequatchie County, but Beckham McKendrick wouldn't allow it. The Sequatchie County Indians sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 45-42 win over the Bledsoe County Warriors on Friday thanks in part to McKendrick, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 18 points and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

Sequatchie County's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-11. As for Bledsoe County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.

Sequatchie County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-37 loss against Cumberland County on the 1st. As for Bledsoe County, they will challenge Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bledsoe County has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
