Basketball Recap: Canby Takes a Loss

Canby was the 74-59 winner over Parkrose when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Canby Cougars took a 57-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Parkrose Broncos on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cougars came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Broncos are ranked 142nd).

Canby has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Parkrose, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Canby will square off against Hood River Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Parkrose, they will face off against Wilsonville at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Parkrose comes in on three and Wilsonville on six.
