The Shining Rock Classical Academy Falcons took a 44-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Ridge Early College Bobcats. The defeat leaves the Falcons without a win on the season.

When it comes to explaining why Shining Rock Classical Academy lost, don't look at Hudson Moody. Despite the final result, he made all 11 shots he took racking up 22 points. That was a full 62.9% of Shining Rock Classical Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Schomberg, who earned six points.

Blue Ridge Early College's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Baumgarner, who had 13 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Palestino, who put up four points in addition to 11 boards and four steals.

Shining Rock Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Blue Ridge Early College, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

As for Blue Ridge Early College, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 95-44 loss against Swain County on the 6th.
