Greendale gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They strolled past the Martin Luther Spartans with points to spare, taking the game 52-37. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Greendale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Giselle Paszkiewicz, who went 6-for-9 en route to 23 points. Macey St. Lawrence was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.

Martin Luther's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Greendale will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against West Allis Hale at 6:00 p.m. As for Martin Luther, they will head out to take on Burlington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
