Volleyball Recap: Stratford Wins Going Away Against New Fairfield + How To Watch

Stratford's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the New Fairfield Rebels with a sharp 3-0 win. The Red Devils have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rebels, too.

While Stratford won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17, 25-22.

Olivia North had an outrageously good game as she had seven digs and seven aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last five contests.

North wasn't the only good servers: Stratford was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as New Fairfield only served six.

Stratford's record now sits at 6-9. As for New Fairfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Stratford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Lauralton Hall on the 10th. As for New Fairfield, they will welcome Joel Barlow at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Rebels surely won't give up without a fight.
