They took a 26-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of Riverdale. The Titans gained 92 more yards on the day, but it was the Cowboys that made the best use of them.
Despite the defeat, Orange Cove got top-tier performance from Isaac Angulo, who rushed for 231 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. Angulo also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making a tackle.
Even though they lost, Orange Cove was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 273 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Riverdale only rushed for 111.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Parlier's offense. They had to suffer through a 47-0 loss at the hands of Granite Hills.
Everything came up roses for Orange Cove against Parlier when the teams last played back in September of 2023 as the squad secured a 45-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Orange Cove since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
