Valor College Prep had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.2 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Friday. They breezed past the Maplewood Panthers to the tune of 73-32. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Panthers are ranked 330th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Valor College Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kobe Cotton led the charge by going 7-for-11 to rack up 16 points along with eight boards and eight steals. Cotton is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Colette Love was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Valor College Prep pushed their record up to 23-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.9 points over those games. As for Maplewood, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.
