Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Cleveland

Cleveland entered their tilt with Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 5-1. That's more bragging rights for the Clippers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cleveland's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Carson Lyons, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Cleveland's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton, they moved to 9-3 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Cleveland has already played their next game, an 8-6 win against Mountain Lake/Comfrey on the 9th. As for Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Blooming Prairie at 4:30 p.m.
