Volleyball Preview: Crandall Pirates vs. Kaufman Lions
The Crandall Pirates will venture away from home to challenge the Kaufman Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crandall is no doubt hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Having struggled with six defeats in a row, Crandall finally turned things around against Lancaster on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 win.
The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20, 25-16.
Meanwhile, Kaufman came up short against Red Oak on Friday and fell 3-1. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kaufman took a 1-0 lead headed into the second set, but sadly they lost the next two. After all that action, the final score was 18-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-20.
Crandall's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Kaufman, their loss dropped their record down to 9-20.
Crandall beat Kaufman 3-1 in their previous matchup back in August of 2019. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crandall since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
