Softball Game Preview: Victor Blue Devils vs. Brockport Blue Devils

Victor will head out to take on Brockport at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Victor is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6 runs per game this season.

Victor will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Friday, then bounced right back against Hilton on Monday. The Blue Devils blew past the Cadets 15-3. Considering the Blue Devils have won four games by more than ten runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Ellie Renkie made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Victor got a massive performance out of Alexah Loeser, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three hits gave Loeser a new career-high. Kenadee Comstock was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.

Victor was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Brockport and Spencerport, and Spencerport kept the tradition alive. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Rangers by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday.

Victor is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for Brockport, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.
