Basketball Game Preview: North Fort Myers Red Knights vs. Immokalee Indians

The North Fort Myers Red Knights just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Immokalee Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Fort Myers has nine straight victories, Immokalee has 11 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

North Fort Myers is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Southwest Florida Christian: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that North Fort Myers blew Southwest Florida Christian out of the water with a 60-14 final score. The Red Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Bianca Iten, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 18 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 16 games she's played dating back to last season. Carolina Jenkins was another key player, putting up five points and seven steals.

North Fort Myers smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive boards. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Meanwhile, Immokalee played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Barron Collier 60-2. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-0.

North Fort Myers' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Immokalee, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

North Fort Myers skirted past Immokalee 31-28 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Fort Myers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
