5-star wide receiver Troy Franklin of Menlo-Atherton (Atherton, Calif.) is the second player to commit to the 2021 Polynesian Bowl.

He joins J.T. Tuimoloau of Eastside Catholic (Sammamish, Wash.), who committed last week. The 5-star defensive tackle is the No. 1 player among rising juniors.

Franklin checks in as the top-rated player from California and is also the No. 1 wide receiver in the Class of 2021. He gives the Polynesian Bowl two players ranked in the Top 10 overall and expect more big-time players to commit in the near future.

The 5-star wide receiver helped lead the Bears to the CIF Division 3-AA state title in 2018 and was an impact player on both sides of the ball during his sophomore campaign. He has already landed nearly 20 FBS offers that include Alabama, USC, Oregon, Miami, LSU and Texas.
