Softball Recap: Westwood Redhawks vs. Saluda Tigers

Westwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Saluda Tigers, falling 13-7. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 on Saturday.

Griffin Ella was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Azaria Belton, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Westwood's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Saluda, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Coming up, Westwood will take on Spring Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
