Baseball Recap: Berkeley Prep Triumphs

Berkeley Prep won the last time they faced Clearwater Central Catholic and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Buccaneers walked away with a 7-3 win over the Marauders. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Buccaneers.

Briggs Tibbals looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Berkeley Prep is undefeated when Tibbals allows one or fewer earned runs, but 2-4 otherwise.

At the plate, Jett Walters was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025. Carson Binder was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Berkeley Prep's record now sits at 6-4. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berkeley Prep will challenge Sickles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, they will face off against Cardinal Mooney at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Marauders 2.6, the Cougars 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
