Baseball Recap: Mandarin Makes It Five in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Mandarin, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Paxon School For Advanced Studies Golden Eagles by a score of 5-2 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Jack Nadeau looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Mandarin's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Samuel Smedley, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another was CJ Murphy, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games.
