Volleyball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cornerstone Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Richmond Oilers. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Oilers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cornerstone Christian started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-10, 15-10.

Cornerstone Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Richmond, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

After both having extra time off, Cornerstone Christian and Making Waves Academy will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Richmond, they will square off against Bethel at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
