Basketball Game Preview: Harvard Cardinals vs. Dorchester Longhorns

Harvard hasn't had much luck against Dorchester recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Harvard Cardinals will be home for the holidays to greet the Dorchester Longhorns at 6:00 p.m.

Harvard is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 24th straight game dating back to last season on Saturday. The game between them and Axtell didn't end well, with Harvard falling 36-19.

Despite their defeat, Harvard saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Tabi Forney, who posted six points along with 13 boards and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. That's the most boards Forney has posted since back in December of 2023.

Meanwhile, Dorchester put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Bruning-Davenport/Shickley by a score of 47-36. The matchup marked the Longhorns' most dominant win of the season so far.

Dorchester pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points per game. As for Harvard, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Harvard took a serious blow against Dorchester in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 57-13. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Harvard was down 33-7.
