Basketball Game Preview: W D Mohammed Caliphs vs. Arlington Christian

W D Mohammed is 0-3 against Arlington Christian since November of 2023 but things could change on Wednesday. The W D Mohammed Caliphs will venture away from home to challenge Arlington Christian at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

If W D Mohammed beats Arlington Christian with 50 points on Wednesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. W D Mohammed breezed by Academe of the Oaks to the tune of 50-15 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Caliphs.

Meanwhile, Arlington Christian put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 63-62 victory over Creekside Christian Academy.

W D Mohammed better focus on containing Chezi Essel and Khalib Brooks as the pair were huge in Arlington Christian's win. Essel went 8 of 12 on his way to 20 points in addition to seven boards and six assists, while Brooks posted 16 points and five steals. Brooks' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Haslem, who put up seven points.

Arlington Christian pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for W D Mohammed, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

W D Mohammed came up short against Arlington Christian in their previous matchup back in November, falling 52-46. Can W D Mohammed avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
