Recap: Owen Valley Patriots vs. Vincennes Lincoln Alices
The Owen Valley Patriots fell victim to the Vincennes Lincoln Alices''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Alices, falling 54-0. Having soared to a lofty 53 points in the game before, Owen Valley couldn't push the score so high this time.
Vincennes Lincoln got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Xander Hunt out in front who threw for 123 yards and four touchdowns on only six passes. Tanner Gilbert was another key contributor, rushing for 80 yards and a touchdown.
Owen Valley has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Vincennes Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Owen Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Vincennes Lincoln will look to defend their home field on Friday against Pike Central at 7:00 p.m. Pike Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 265th, while Vincennes Lincoln is ranked 61st).
