Basketball Game Preview: Trousdale County Yellowjackets vs. Liberty Creek Wolves

The Trousdale County Yellowjackets will head out on the road to square off against the Liberty Creek Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Trousdale County is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.

Last Tuesday, Trousdale County took their match with ease, bagging a 69-27 win over LEAD Academy. The Yellowjackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Liberty Creek entered their tilt with Westmoreland on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 40-29. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Eagles are ranked 235th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Trousdale County pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points per game. As for Liberty Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
