Valley View came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.5 goals), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the North Pocono Trojans by a score of 3-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Valley View's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 27th, while North Pocono are ranked 97th).

Valley View's win bumped their record up to 13-2-2. As for North Pocono, they dropped their record down to 11-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Valley View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Pocono, they will challenge Hanover Area at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Pocono will be up against Hanover Area's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.38 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
