Cardinal waltzed into their game on Tuesday with seven straight wins...and they left with eight. They blew past the Mathews Mustangs 3-0.

While Cardinal won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final set scores came out to 25-17, 25-21, 25-22.

Mathews' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hunter Ramsey, who had 17 digs, 14 kills, two aces, and a solo block. The team also got some help from Jessa Detelich, who had 14 digs and an assist.

Cardinal has now won 18 of their last 20 games on the road. That's helped them to a 17-2 record this season. As for Mathews, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's dealt a heavy blow to their 8-10 record this season.

Cardinal wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Mogadore on the 7th. As for Mathews, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Pymatuning Valley on the 7th.
