Soccer Recap: Blaine Comes Up Short

If Blaine was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mt. Baker on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Borderites came up short against the Burlington-Edison Tigers on Saturday, falling 7-0. Blaine have struggled against Burlington-Edison recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Blaine's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Burlington-Edison, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4-3.

Looking ahead, Blaine will be playing in front of their home fans against Mount Vernon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Vernon will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Blaine surely won't give up without a fight. As for Burlington-Edison, they will take on Nooksack Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
