It's playoff time, and Odyssey Institute had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Tonopah Valley Phoenix 1-0. This was a revenge game for the Minotaur: when they faced off against the Phoenix on Monday, they had to take a 7-6 defeat.

Odyssey Institute saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick DePaz, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Odyssey Institute's record is now 9-11-1. As for Tonopah Valley, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-12-1.

Looking ahead, Odyssey Institute will head out to take on Gilbert Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Minotaur surely won't give up without a fight. Tonopah Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
