The matchup between Bearden and Strong on Wednesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Bears were the clear victors by a 17-4 margin over the Bulldogs. That 13 run margin sets a new team best for the Bears this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Bearden and bumps their season record up to 3-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-6 Strong and 1-6 Lafayette County. As for Strong, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Bearden will venture away from home to challenge Kirby at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Strong, they will host Lafayette County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.86 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
