Volleyball Recap: Forest Park Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Freedom on Monday, Forest Park came back down to earth. The Bruins fell 3-1 to the Gainesville Cardinals on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 25-27, 25-12.

Sydney Mitchell paced Forest Park's offense, picking up seven kills. Mitchell got some help from Alexa Eggleton and her 12 assists. Jordan Carter controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Forest Park's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Gainesville, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2.

Forest Park didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Potomac Senior on the 6th. As for Gainesville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Charles J. Colgan on the 6th.
