After flying high against Crystal River last Friday, Weeki Wachee came back down to earth. The Hornets fell just short of the Citrus Hurricanes by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The Hornets' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Weeki Wachee's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Citrus, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season.

Weeki Wachee will square off against Cypress Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hornets 3, the Coyotes 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Citrus, they will be playing at home against South Sumter at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
