Soccer Recap: Philo vs. Caldwell
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against West Muskingum, Philo was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They never let the Caldwell Redskins onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Electrics needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.
They hit Caldwell with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Ashton Farris (2),
Logan Lyon, and
Gage Wickham.
The win got Philo back to even at 3-3-2. As for Caldwell, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Philo will be playing at home against Lakewood at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lakewood is coming into the contest with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Philo will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Caldwell, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Shenandoah at 12:00 p.m.
