Recap: Ross vs. Shelter Island Islanders
Ross's game back in January was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They snuck past Shelter Island with a 35-30 win. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Ross has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Shelter Island had strong showings from Evan Weslek, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals, and Harrison Weslek, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. It was the first time this season that Weslek grabbed two or more steals.
Ross' win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Shelter Island, their loss was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15.
Ross will take on Southold at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Shelter Island, they will head out on the road to take on Bridgehampton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Bridgehampton's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
