Volleyball Recap: Ortonville Takes a Loss

Ortonville lost against Canby back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trojans lost 3-0 to the Lancers. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-17, 25-10.

Leading Canby to victory were Jaryn Houseman and Brynn Kockelman. Houseman had 11 digs and five assists, while Kockelman hit 60% for seven kills and 15 assists and nine digs. Those five assists gave Houseman a new career-high.

Ortonville now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Canby, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Ortonville will challenge Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Canby, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Minnesota Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
