Soccer Game Preview: Rockport-Fulton vs. Flour Bluff

The Rockport-Fulton Pirates will kick their season off against the Flour Bluff Hornets on Friday. Kickoff is scheduled at 10:15 a.m.

Flour Bluff will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Saturday, then bounced right back against Corpus Christi Moody on Tuesday. Flour Bluff blew past Corpus Christi Moody 9-1. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 6-1.

Flour Bluff's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

As for Rockport-Fulton, they've got a clean slate this season. Last year, they finished on the right side of .500 (12-7), and they're hoping to kick off an even more successful campaign this year.
