Football Recap: West Washington Senators vs. Paoli Rams
West Washington lost against Paoli back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Senators took a blow against the Rams, falling 42-6. The Senators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Paoli to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cooper Spires, who rushed for 51 yards and two TDs on only six carries, and also threw for 43 yards and one touchdown. Dane Padgett was Spires' top target, picking up 11 receiving yards.
West Washington now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Paoli, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Washington will take on North Daviess at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars' defense has only allowed 8.4 points per game this season, so the Senators' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Paoli, they will challenge Eastern Greene at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
