Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

St. Mary waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Lincoln Trojans. The Rams have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trojans, too.

St. Mary's was especially dominant in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-16, 25-27, 25-13.

Andrew Zumout was nothing short of spectacular: he had 28 digs and seven aces. Those seven aces gave him a new career-high.

Zumout wasn't the only good server: St. Mary's was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

St. Mary's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Lincoln, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

St. Mary's has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Lodi on the 8th. As for Lincoln, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against West on the 8th.
