Baseball Recap: Coronado Comes Up Short

If Coronado was feeling good fresh off their 27-1 takedown of Palmer last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars came up short against the Widefield Gladiators on Tuesday, falling 11-2. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Gladiators recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Widefield, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.

While Coronado had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
