Volleyball Preview: Saranac Lake Red Storm vs. Northern Adirondack Bobcats        
        
		
             Saranac Lake is 9-1 against Northern Adirondack since September of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Thursday. The Saranac Lake Red Storm will head out to  square off against the Northern Adirondack Bobcats  at 6:00  p.m.
 Last Monday, Saranac Lake came up short against Saranac  and fell  3-1.
 The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 16-25, 25-20,  25-16.
 Even though they lost, Saranac Lake  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 13  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least 11  aces in five consecutive  matches.
 Meanwhile, Northern Adirondack had to endure  a  seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by  a  3-0 margin over Northeastern Clinton on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  win the Bobcats have posted  since October 24, 2023.

  Reese LaFave had an outrageously good game as she  had nine  aces, seven  digs,  and two  kills. Those nine  aces gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Allison LaPoint, who  had nine  digs, three  kills,  and three  aces.
 Saranac Lake's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Northern Adirondack, their victory  ended  a  six-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 2-11.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Thursday's  contest:  Saranac Lake has really dialed in their serving  this season,  having  averaged 17.1  aces per game. However, it's not like Northern Adirondack struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 13. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
