For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Indians have posted since February 15th.

Not much got past Ella Baswell, who gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks to keep North Jackson off the board. That's the fewest hits Baswell has allowed since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, New Hope's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Haley Garrison, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

The home team had come away the winner the last three times Kate Duncan Smith DAR and Asbury had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Haas, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

New Hope has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-8-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. Kate Duncan Smith DAR's win bumped their record up to 5-3.
