Softball Recap: St. Charles Victorious

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but St. Charles ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They walked away with an 11-8 victory over the Michigan Lutheran Seminary Cardinals. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

The team relied heavily on Kylie Fiting, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Fiting, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: St. Charles kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Michigan Lutheran Seminary only managed seven.

St. Charles now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Michigan Lutheran Seminary, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: St. Charles beat the Cardinals by a score of 7-5 later that day.
