Softball Recap: Franklin Triumphs

The Franklin Knights beat the West Middlesex Big Reds 4-1 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Jersey Swartz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Abigail Boland was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base was her first of the season. Gabrielle Laderer was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Franklin's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for West Middlesex, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Franklin nor West Middlesex have any future games scheduled.
