South Lyon East's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Walled Lake Western, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Everything came up roses for Walled Lake Western against South Lyon East in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 56-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
