Preview: Ridgeview Wolfpack vs. Tazewell Bulldogs
Ridgeview has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Tazewell Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Last Friday just wasn't the day for Ridgeview's offense. They had to suffer through a rough 28-0 loss at the hands of Gate City.
Meanwhile, after only six points in their last matchup, Tazewell made sure to put some points up on the board against Lebanon on Friday. Tazewell simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lebanon 58-28 on the road. With Tazewell ahead 28-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Carter Creasy had an outrageously good game as he threw for 396 yards and six touchdowns. Tazewell also got help from Logan Mcdonald who showed off his sure hands for 86 receiving yards.
Another reason for the win was Tazewell's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Kaizon Taylor and Tyler Gillespie who racked up four sacks between them.
With Ridgeview's defeat and Gate City's win, both teams now sport identical 7-3 records.
Everything came up roses for Ridgeview against Tazewell in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 as the squad secured a 35-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ridgeview since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
