Recap: Drew vs. McIntosh Chiefs
Drew's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their 13th straight defeat. They took a serious blow against McIntosh, falling 75-7. Drew has struggled against McIntosh recently, as their matchup on Monday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Kendall Davis continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for McIntosh, almost dropping a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. Davis is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games she's played. Jayla Jackson was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six steals.
Drew dropped their record down to 1-22 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.8 points per game. As for McIntosh, their win bumped their record up to 9-14.
Drew does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McIntosh, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Harris County at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Harris County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matchups -- so hopefully McIntosh likes a good challenge.
