After flying high against Southern Wake Academy last Thursday, River Mill came back down to earth. The River Mill Jaguars took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Williams Bulldogs on Monday. The Jaguars haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
River Mill started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-15, 25-21, 25-19.
Despite the loss, River Mill still got an impressive performance from Emma Honeycutt, who had four aces and a block. Those four aces gave Honeycutt a new career-high.
