Basketball Recap: North Hopkins Comes Up Short

If North Hopkins was riding high fresh off their 59-37 takedown of Boles last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The North Hopkins Panthers were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 52-51 to the Cooper Bulldogs. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 55-54.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cooper to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jequan Brown, who posted 17 points. Brown is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Devin Dial, who went 6 for 11 to rack up 14 points and five rebounds.

North Hopkins' loss dropped their record down to 17-15. As for Cooper, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7.

As of now, neither North Hopkins nor Cooper have any future games scheduled.
