Kaden Edgington and Hunter Krause made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Edgington didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Meanwhile, Krause tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Edgington has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Edgington scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Krause got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double. That's the most hits Edgington has posted since back in February.
In other batting news, Graesyn Kendzlic was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
Blue Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Holbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Holbrook hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .329. However, it's not like Blue Ridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .321. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
