Basketball Recap: La Grange's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

There's no place like home for La Grange, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They walked away with a 50-42 win over the Giddings Buffaloes on Friday. Given the Leopards' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 673rd, while the Buffaloes are ranked 1361st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

La Grange got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cordale Knapik out in front who posted 12 points. Clayton Cooper was another key player, putting up six points along with seven boards and seven steals.

With the win, La Grange broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 15-8. As for Giddings, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

La Grange will challenge Caldwell at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. La Grange is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57 points per game this season. As for Giddings, they will take on Bellville at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
