Basketball Recap: Rib Lake Comes Up Short

Rib Lake suffered their closest defeat since November 19, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Tomahawk Hatchets by a score of 37-35. The Redmen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hatchets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Rib Lake dropped their record down to 9-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Tomahawk, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Rib Lake will be playing at home against Newman at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Rib Lake is facing Newman at the right time seeing as Newman is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Tomahawk has already played their next matchup (against Rhinelander), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
