There's no place like home for Foothill, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Florin Panthers on Monday as they made off with a 23-9 victory. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Savannah James, who scored four runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Monroe, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Foothill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .700. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Foothill's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Florin, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Foothill will head out to face off against Valley Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.2 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Florin, they will challenge Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
