Softball Recap: Lone Pine Takes a Loss

Lone Pine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Bishop Union Broncos, falling 14-4. If the Golden Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 17-1 to the Broncos when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lone Pine saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camila Martinez, who scored a run off of a hit.

Even though they lost, Lone Pine always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of 1.400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .533 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Lone Pine's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Bishop Union, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Lone Pine will head out to challenge Mineral County at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bishop Union, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Lee Vining at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
