Soccer Game Preview: Mayde Creek vs. Katy

Mayde Creek hasn't had much luck against Katy recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Rams will be playing at home against the Tigers at 7:15 p.m. Mayde Creek has given up an average of 4.2 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mayde Creek fell victim to Seven Lakes and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 8-0 to the Spartans. While losing is never fun, Mayde Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 491st, while Seven Lakes are ranked 32nd).

Meanwhile, Katy came up short against Tompkins on Friday and fell 3-1. Katy haven't had much luck with Tompkins recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Mayde Creek's loss dropped their record down to 4-15-1. As for Katy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7-1.

Mayde Creek suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Katy when the teams last played back in February. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
